Regional Club Councils

Club leaders from a region meeting regularly to share resources, coordinate events and solve the problems every club runs into.

Clubs are stronger together

Most clubs face the same handful of problems: recruiting new members, finding meeting space, funding repeaters, running exams and finding speakers. Regional Club Councils bring club leaders together so those problems get solved once and shared, instead of being rediscovered by every club separately.

What a council does

  • Meets quarterly (usually online) with one or two representatives per club.
  • Maintains a shared regional calendar so hamfests, exams and field events do not collide.
  • Pools resources: loaner equipment, trailers, tower crews, tents and demo kits.
  • Coordinates joint public service and emergency communications planning.
  • Shares speakers — including presenters from the National Presenters Panel.
